Instalar Proftpd en Ubuntu Server 10.04

Proftpd es un servidor FTP muy seguro y altamente personalizable como el servidor web Apache. viene integrado en el arbol de paquetes de Ubuntu, Debian y cualquier otra distribucion basada en las anteriores. De igual forma puede descargarse como paquete desde el sitio official.  http://www.proftpd.org

• Para instalarlo en ubuntu lo unico que tenemos que hacer es abrir una terminal y ejecutar

apt-get install proftpd

• posteriormente hacemos unos ajustes en el archivo profttpd.conf.

nano -w /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf

Include /etc/proftpd/modules.conf

• Pulsamos CTRL+C , pulsamos y para guardar los cambios.

• Ahora reiniciamos el server /etc/init.d/proftpd -restart

• Done.

Podemos acceder a el, desde cualquier cliente FTP, como el navegador web, o FileZilla. De igual forma se pueden crear usuarios adicionales con sus directorios privados. Para mas informacion, visite el sitio oficial.
